SIV applicants are required to invest a minimum of $5 million AUD for four years within a range of compliant investments. These investment options include exposure to; ‘venture capital and growth private equity’, ’emerging companies’, and ‘balancing investments’.
Within those broad categories there are a range of restrictions and requirements which have been considered when forming our solutions, taking the stress of managing the investments away from you so you and your family can focus on settling in Australia.
You are required to invest at least $500,000 AUD in eligible Australian venture capital or growth private equity (VCPE) fund(s) investing in start-up and small private companies. Another $1,500,000 AUD in an eligible managed fund that invests in emerging companies with a market capitalisation below $500 million AUD. Finally, the largest portion of the investment with $3,000,000 AUD in managed funds that invest in a combination of eligible assets that include Australian listed securities, eligible corporate bonds or notes, annuities and real property (subject to the 10% limit on residential real estate).
